Dialogue Manager is an addon for the Godot Game Engine that provides and editor and runtime for branching dialogue.

Note: You can get Dialogue Manager for free from GitHub or the Asset Library - this is only a paid addon on Itch as a means for people to show their support.

  • Edit your dialogue right in the Godot Editor
  • Translation support
  • Syntax checking with detailed error reporting
  • Supports both GDScript and C#
  • Built in test scene (that you can override)
  • Stateless runtime - keep your game as the authority of state
  • Example dialogue balloon to get you started
  • Include timed pauses and speed changes in dialogue using the provided DialogueLabel node

More example balloons and test scenes are available by cloning the repository from GitHub.

Nathan,  Thank you for this plugin!  On your github main, I see an examples folder, though, it is not included when I download the plugin.  Is the examples folder something I can download?  I confess I am not a github expert.

To get those examples you have to clone the repository instead of just downloading it.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for making this plugin. I used it in my game submission to the Godot Wild Jam #62.

And again for Godot Wild Jam #63.
